What Does Dual Diagnosis Look Like At Skyline?

At our dual diagnosis treatment centers in Los Angeles, we listen carefully, conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation, and create a personalized dual diagnosis plan for lasting recovery.

Based on different factors, your treatment for dual diagnosis will comprise the following:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT teaches you to change negative thinking patterns to productive ones and cope with your life stressors in a healthy way.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT): DBT is about coming to terms with your mental health and substance use challenges and moving toward change. It is extremely helpful in reducing self-destructive and self-harm behaviors.

Medication Management : You work with board-certified psychiatrists who prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications for one or both of your conditions.

Recovery Community : A recovery community is beneficial because it gives you the emotional and social support you need to achieve and maintain your sobriety. You can benefit from shared experiences and learning to deal with life stressors and challenges.
