Focused Care at Our Los Angeles Mental Health Treatment Center

Anxiety Disorders: Anxiety often shows up as excessive worry about different issues, events, or people. Anxiety can manifest physically as well, like sleeping troubles.

Major Depressive Disorder (Depression): Depression can overwhelm you with feelings of sadness, emptiness, and hopelessness to the point that they hinder daily life and functioning.

Bipolar Disorder: Bipolar disorder is characterized by extreme mood shifts – from mania/hypomania to depression. You can also experience shifts in your energy and attention levels, which affects your day-to-day life.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): OCD can make you feel trapped within pervasive obsessions that lead to compulsions and interfere with different aspects of your life.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): PTSD is when you experience flashbacks, nightmares, and avoidance of things or places related to a traumatic event. You also feel like you are constantly on the edge.

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): ADHD is a developmental disorder where you experience difficulty focusing, restlessness, and impulsive behaviors.

Eating Disorders: Eating disorders are marked by a disordered relationship with food that can lead to a low quality of life and, in extreme cases, even death.

Schizophrenia: Schizophrenia is a severe psychiatric disorder characterized by psychosis, disordered thinking, and blunting of emotions, among other symptoms.

Other Mental Health Needs: Everyday challenges, from stress, anger, career-related challenges, relationship conflicts, and grief to major life transitions, can become overwhelming to deal with on your own.

Dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorders is a more common condition than you think. Mental health disorders and substance use disorders feed off and worsen each other, and an integrated dual diagnosis treatment is the effective way of overcoming co-occurring disorders toward a higher quality of life.
Skyline Recovery is a recognized outpatient rehab center specializing in dual diagnosis treatment where we emphasize personalized and holistic care options for a mental health condition, substance use problems, or a combination of these concerns.
Our Commitment to Mental Health Focused Care
50% - 90% of the time, substance use disorders co-exist with mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, personality disorders, schizophrenia, and more. This is known as a dual diagnosis.

Receiving a dual diagnosis is challenging, but you do not have to face this diagnosis alone. Dual diagnosis treatment is a focused, comprehensive treatment that seeks to treat both conditions for an enduring recovery. Typically, dual diagnosis treatment incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, medication management, and social support.
What Is Dual Diagnosis?
Dual diagnosis treatment at Skyline treats both mental health and substance use struggles together for greatly enhanced health outcomes and an easier return to a productive, fulfilling life. Our personalized dual diagnosis treatment options are customized to your needs and goals to provide you with the tools and strategies for managing your mental health and sobriety.
